I have a late 60's Sears Ted Williams short shaft
  • motor, runs well, but the pin holding the gear on the end of the throttle shaft broke and plop went the gear. Does anyone out there now where I can get another gear or has a parts engine? Model# 574.60121, Ser# 65600711 2918. Thanks

focod: I too am looking for parts for a 7 1/2 Sears...My Mod #is 574-60100, ser: 64600710. Don't know what difference there would be in the motors. One of my coils is bad, otherwise a good motor. If the motors match up, I will offer you $100.00 for your motor or will accept $100.00 for my motor. My phone # is 256-753-2369

Both of these motors were made by McCulloch. Focod your motor is a 1965 model. JJ your's is a 1960.

Look up the web page for the Scott guy. He deals with Scott-Atwater parts. Scott-Atwater became Scott then Scott McCulloch. JJ Napa auto parts may be able to order a coil for you. If not I am sure you can get points, condencers and water pump empellers through them. Focod you might try Twin city outboard. They deal used obselete parts.
