I bought the 12 inch self centering roller #50080992 with #50081043 Shaft and #50080970 end cap. My question is it says the end caps go on the outside of the bracket. What holds it on because the shaft doesnt seem long enough to put the end caps on the outside of the caps. They cant just be pushed on the end or they will fall off. Any help would be great.

Re: Seasense end caps

it's been awhile since I messed with the Seasense stuff, but to use the end caps, I think you need to get a longer shaft? (that is, of course, if you can get the pal nuts mounted on properly... they're overly tight).

I bought a steel rod at the hardware store-5/8" I think?,cut to length, and welded washers on each end after it was assembled.
This way,no one will steal my nice new roller.
