Does anyone know where I can get 1/2" or 3/8" plastic for the frames of my seats. I am getting ready to upholster my complete interior , and want to use plastic instead of wood in my seat rebuilds. :)

What about that new synthetic wood that's being used for decking? It's supposed to last a bazillion years and it's gotta be cheaper than plastic stock. Home Depot and Lowes have started carrying it.

spots

Why plastic? It's heavier than wood, retains more heat and will flex on on hot days.

Wood is stronger, lighter, more readily available, cheaper, easily cut to any shape and can be treated to prevent rot.

EZ ,
Your right! I found a outlet on the net , but feel over when I got to the price.
Guess I'll go with the plywood and encapsulate in epoxy for rot prevention.
Thanks for the input guys.
