Seat Repair Suggestions 2007 LXI 208 Seats

The Milsco seat inserts on both the captain and mate's seats has come apart on this boat. The foam has separated from the plastic frame. It looks like to me that either the foam has swelled, the vinyl/plastic outer covering has shrunk or a little of both. Has anyone experienced this same problem and if so do you have a solution for a good fix??

I plan to trim some of the foam so the two parts fit together better and then use some white gorilla glue to join them, clamping together with some bungee cords or small ratchet straps while drying.........suggestions??
