I have a Lund Explorer SS and want to get a few more seats. I would like to get one regular sit down seat and a butt seat for the bow. I don't care if the butt seat is a lund seat, but I would like the sit-down seat to be a lund so it matches the others (2005). Where is a good place to find seat posts to use for a butt seat? Does anyone ever find used Lund seats that people are getting rid of? Thanks for the help!

As far as "butt" seats go, you can get them through Cabela's, and BassPro Shops. I purchased 1 for my previous boat (GIII) from BassPro and all the guys I fish with thought it was a great seat. I think I paid well over $100 for it, but it sure beats the $350.00 I just spent on the new Lund seat.

I don't know where (Ebay?) you'd find someone selling used Lund seats, but I'm sure you can order 1 from your local Lund dealer.

Good luck with your search. -John

there used to be a boat seat manufacturer in Rogers or maybe Dayton, Minnesota that made custom boat seats for several manufactures. for example if Cabela's did a version of a Lund boat they would make the seats with cabela's name on them in lund colors. i bought 2 seats from them about 10 years ago that matched the color of my factory crestliner seats but a different style than crestliner offered. they had the exact matching vinyl. they weren't in the bargin basement wally world price but about 60% of a seat from Crestliner. maybe if you google boat seats rogers or dayton minnesota you could find them and see what they have to offer.

Last year I found a Lund Captain's chair ( Made by FlexSteel ) for my 2001 Fisherman on Craig's List. The only hard part...was the seat was in Montana. You might want to do a search..and see what you come up with. The seat I purchased was nearly new and ran me $100...so you can find some deals out there.

As far as the pedestals....I've swapped all mine out with Attwood "Swivl-Eze" Power Pedestals. I did a search on line and found them on sale. The Swivl-eze are the same as the factory...so they fit perfectly.

Good Luck,

Lund themselves frequently have auctions on ebay including over stocked seats. Lund has an ebay store and private vendors sell seats all of the time. This time of year, it will be slim picking because so many folks are looking for them, but it is common..... I bought a spare on ebay (actual Lund seat) for about half of a new one. It did have a minor scuff on it (but again it is a spare). It was about half the price of a new one... The only down side is that the shipping price was a little high.
