Secure storage for 250DA in Tampa?

I'm moving to St. Pete in January, and am considering bringing the boat down earlier (next week) so as not to have to winterize it and tow it down when we move in January with possible poor weather.

Can anyone in the area recommend a secure storage yard preferably at a Marina?

Thanks!

Where are you moving exactly? There are quite a few good marinas in the area. Maximo Marina, Salt Creek Marina, O'Neills Marina are among a few. A new one called Nauticus is opening now; I think it may be quite expensive though.

Welcome to Saint Pete! It's a really beautiful area! Get in touch with me if you need info on the area; things to do, a place to live, etc.

Thanks Bryan! I'm not sure exactly where we will end up. I need to be close to central St. Pete for work. We will probably rent for the first year or two, and I found a few nice properties with boat lifts included but I'm sure they'll be gone by December. Hopefully I'll find a few more then because I can't leave my old Alpha drive in the water, and my older rusty painted steel trailer won't be long for life trailering down there. A lift would be ideal.

We'll probably end up in So. St. Pete somewhere or the N. Bradenton/Palmetto area. I'm looking forward to getting down there, and especially boating! We'll definitely look you up again later.

I'll check out those marinas. I did find a storage space in Ellenton for $85/month fenced and with an attendant on site, but I'd feel safer if it was in a fenced Marina yard.

I wouldn't be as concerned if I was across town, but having to leave it somewhere for months when I can't even check on it will cost me sleep I'm sure!

O'Neills looks nice, and from the pic it looks like they store quite a few boats on trailers.

There is another marina at Billy's Crab Shack on Tierra Verde that has lots of trailer boats on premises. O'Neill's is a good marina and it is in South St. Pete right on Pinellas Point so you have easy access to both the bay and the Gulf. (It's about 30 blocks from my house). There is lots of great fishing and boating around here; and there will be several days in January that you'll want to take your boat out! You can call your friends in WI from the water and ask how the weather is;)

My girlfriend is a realtor who can also find some rentals for you if you'd like. We have both been in the real estate business in this area for a few years (I am a contractor) so if you need any help finding a place feel free to PM me.

There is always tons of stuff going on around Pinellas county and St Pete in particular so you can always find something entertaining going on.
