Seeking Info on Penn Yan

I am strongly considering purchasing a 1990 Penn Yan 24' Challenger fully equipped for Great Lakes fishing, with tandem trailer (w/brakes) for approximately 10k. Does anyone know what I should be looking for in terms of common issues/problems with this or Penn Yan boats in general?

Has anyone owned a Penn Yan 24' Challenger or similar boat, and how did/do you like it?
