Hello,

I'm selecting a new prop for purchase and I was wondering. The prop I've found is a 'through' hub, but my engine is a single exhaust. ( 1989 125HP Force ). does it matter if I use the 'through' hub, will it fix correctly, any disadvantage? I'm looking at a Solas, #1411-130-19.

thanks for your help!

A through HUB exhaust prop will work just fine on your single exhaust Force motor. Your gear case is made for a 4" diameter propeller HUB. You need to confirm that what ever prop you purchase will fit a 4" HUB gear case. Most of the Mercury props in your horsepower range are made for 4 1/4" HUB's and will not fit properly. +

One other thing is you need to know what pitch propeller you currently have and what the WOT RPM is. Otherwise you take a chance of purchasing a propeller that gives you poor performance. The propeller needs to be matched to your hull and engine horsepower for optimal performance.
