Hi, eehni.<br /><br />Welcome to iboats. <br /><br />That is the model number, not the serial number.<br /><br />The "T" means it has Tilt & Trim.<br /><br />The "X" means it has an eXtra long (25") shaft.<br /><br />The "A" is a manufacturering run. It is of no use to us.

Serial Description

Hi,<br />I would like to figure out what does my serial number means. I have a Johnson 150HP outboard and its serial number is J150TXCCA.<br />I know that J=Johnson, 150=HP, CC=1988 (using the INTRODUCE method)....but what does "TX" and the last "A" means???<br />I'll really appriciated your help,<br />Thanks.
