I cant seem to understand how the merc serial numbers work. I typed it in at mercury parts express website and it shows as being a stern drive engine or something?!?!? It is a 1999 ELPTO 60 HP 3 cylinder engine. I also looked on Iboats at a few parts and the serial to parts didnt seem to match either.
