Hello, I have a mercury 50 hp outboard that i bought from a freind. the serial number on the transom mount is 1771478. I have not been able to obtain any clear information on this motor on any site so far. The distributer is missing and I need a part number to get one. I also have a 65 hp and a 35 hp that came with the motor. He said that the distributer from 65 hp would fit but I tried it and it seems too long, I could not get it to work. Any help with this would be appreciated.
