Serial number question mercury 45 2 stroke 4 cylinders

Hello I am new to this forum and have been searching for some help with serial numbers. ​There is a serial number look up on the mercury site but it is saying ithey dont have it

My serial number IS OB258948 and it is on a 1998 godfrey 20' pontoon
Motor says mercury classic 45

My problem is with the throttle linkage. the piece that broke off was to engage the throttle lever near the carb forward or reverse. Engine starts and runs fine. .

Clearly listed as an 88 model year.

Thank you I will continue to research. Could you please tell me wgere it is clearly listed. I need a diagram to look at but this serial number dosent seem to bring up any info
