I have just moved to the great state of Texas, and need to register my boat. On the application; it is asking me for the serial number on the outdrive. But when I went to look for this serial number I was unable to find one. The boat is a 1975 Mark Twain with a Mercruiser straight six 165 I/O. I got the hull id, motor serial number but cannot locate this illusive outdrive #. The outdrive is a pre-alpha. AM I going blind or does this number really exists?

Your feedback will be greatly appreciated.

By the way, in Kansas I was able to register this same boat $26 for three years. Here in Texas I am having to dish out $90 plus  Well, guess if the bass fishing is any better than in Kansas (like I suspect it is), it will be well worth it.
