Service Manual Question

I am looking to pick up the service manual for my 1957 35 HP Johnson (RJE-19M). I am rebuilding this motor with my dad as a fun little project.

I found this one:

Reviews - 1941-1964 Johnson Outboard Service Manual 302231_10 - Ken Cook Co. - iboats.com

I notice that is over $100, but I read that I should only by the Ken Cook, Co manual.

Will this also have part numbers in it? Or should I still pick up a $40 parts catalog?

I was originally looking at getting the parts catalog and owners manual for close to $90. Now I am thinking I will just buy the service manual. Is that a safe idea?

Re: Service Manual Question

Service manual is the best with the parts catalog optional IMO; most kind souls on the forum will genrally give you the # you need.
