I had seen a link where a person could download Mercruiser factory service manuals. Now I can not find that link.
Any ideas?

I have just spent a bucket load on parts and the wallet is now thin. I am concerned that my Clymers manual will catch on fire!

The project in question Alpha one-1. started with a bellows leak and now includes LOTS more. This was a small leak that went un-noticed for some time. Noticed a little water in the bilge every so often and didn't think much of it, planned on checking into it this fall. Lesson learned-do not wait, it will be too late. Outdrive being replaced with SE106.

I have purchased the engine alignment tool for $55 to replace gimble bearing.
I have been reading the post here and am thinking that I can get by with only buying this tool and converting my pulley puller into a bearing puller - or renting a puller.
Hinge tool looks like I can make something work, bearing pusher-same, bellows install tool-lots of work without it mabee, but wallet is very thin.
Please send suggestions.

Re: Service manual

spyder, is that working for you? I click on the letters and am not getting anything to open. That's a very crisp manual page though..the one I was finally able to download for my '73, I have the same issue when clicking on to open a section. Not so crisp looks like someone took pics and photocopied...I'm not complaining about a free download, though...just wondering if I'm doing something wrong??

Works fine, just checked it.
As Don said scroll down to the section you want, (Service Manual Outline - it's the last of the 7 pages) hover cursor over LETTER of the SECTION (1-7)you wish to open, and left click.
If you have an ungodly slow connection it may take a while.

Re: Service manual

EarlyWood, when I opened up the link, I clicked the "MAIN MENUE" box in the upper right, then went thru the index on the left. I was able to find a manual P/N then copied the manual p/n into the google search box and came up with other pdf docs. all of which are from boatfix.com, I hope this is not stepping on toes. It did take a little time but after ordering the parts I need, I need to find what I can on the cheap!

Re: Service manual

It wouldn't work for me as for bomar76. I am probably doing something wrong but I can not get anything to happen while hanging the curser over 1-7

I just seen a different posting but had the same manual from a different site and it worked great for me, check it out.
