Does someone know of a publisher of service manuals other than SELOC that they can recommend?
Recently purchased one of theirs for a Mercury that completely omitted the mid section and mount, which is, where the problem is with that outboard. A waste of money and more importantly fishing time! But not a total loss I now have fire-starting material to cook the fish I catch on shore.
OEM for some has eluded me.

OEM manuals (far better than Seloc or Clymers):
kencook.com
marineengine.com
theoutboardwizard.bizhosting.com
maxrules.com

Also check ebay for used ones. Search:
(xx, xxhp) (Evinrude, Johnson) manual

Replace the xx with your hp.

Alden. How long did it take your manuals to come in the mail? The site says it could take up to 3 weeks for an OEM manual. I need one ASAP, Is there an online OEM service manual like SELCO has? Don't mean to take over the post but it's on the same subject. Thanks
Cyrus

Re: Service manuals ?

Cyrus,
Marine Engine is in Vermont and I live in NH. Mine came in about 2-3 days after online ordering. When you need a manual it's always needed RIGHT NOW, but in my opinion waiting a few days for the good manual is well worth it. My Uncle bought both the Seloc and Clymers for his Johnson 90 and they both suck. Short of kidnapping Joe Reeves, the OEM manuals are the best thing for getting these motors running right. You can always get help here while waiting for your book. :)
John
