"Sexy" 60HP Merc

now that I have your attention ............ what would be a fair price for a new 60HP EFI Merc 4s
I'm a rookie and when talking to a sales person I haven't a clue........ I get $6.7K to $6.4K .....
is there a Blue book for new boats and motors..something like a "Edmund's Car Buying Guide" so I can get a half way vision on what the hell I'm doing in buying a new boat and motor what say you? ............ Help..thank you, ... Frank

If it's any indication, my 07' 90 4 stroke was $7240.00 with controls... $6000.00 would be a good price for a 60.....

Around here some dealers give price quotes that include only the motor, others include some combination of prop, tank, controls, labor and taxes, Make sure you are comparing apples to apples when you shop. Good Luck.
