I have been offered to rebuild a 88-89 18ft V-hull Shadow bass boat, Ive heard that they are not like most boats, as far as splitting the cap from the hull.. Ive never seen the boat yet .. and Ive never even heard of a shadow until this one.
Ive searched around on here and haven't found much out about them except that I know I don't want a tunnel hull version of my own, the sound like you wont have any kidneys left if you use in rough water.

If you've restored one of these in the 86-89 range , and you have any pics or insight would be much appreciated

Well I did the Shadow, was a real pain to get all of the fiberglass along the edges cut to remove the top.

Now I have another one to do lol .. the new one looks like it just came off the show room floor, except rotted transom and knee braces
The boat has sat 10 yrs in a garage!

Hey NRG..I've talked to you before from the CFF. I was the guy with the 84 Stratos project. Glad to see your business is coming along. Since getting on these forums, I went from casual boat user to ready to do my own work. I built a wood stand using the plans here and pulled the motor. Just waiting to get time to pull the cap and start replacing wood and glass. I've been following your progress since Jan. and your doing some nice work. I'm still open to paying for lessons..hahah....

Nice job on the Shadow.
