Shaft length of 1984 150 HP Merc Black Max

Not sure how it's actually calculated. I want to temporarily put a 20" shaft 75 HP Merc Tracker where my 150 BM is now sitting (for one season and on my 1994 2003 Bayliner Trophy walk around. I always thought the 150 BM and the 75 Merc had the same shaft length but 150 looks about 4" longer. Trophy stern lip (where outboard sits on) to bottom of hull is out 4 " longer than other boat. Also, will my Quicksilver controls for 150 BM work on my 1996 75 Tracker? Thanks, in advance, for all replies

Edit. Looks like 150 has a 25" shaft??? I didn't know there was such a length. Never had any dealings with more than 20" shafts in 40 years of boating.
