Shamrock 220 Center Console

I am very close to purchasing a Shamrock 220 Center Console and would like any information regarding the performance of the boat. I am most interested in how the boat trailers, especially the difficulty of launching/recovering. I would also like to beach the boat on sand. Will the boat get close or will the keel prevent me from taking her close enough to unload kids/dogs? The boat I am looking at does have a swim platform. Thanks, David.

I think the practicality of beaching is going to depend on the nature of the beach. Not as simple a deal as with a pontoon. But doable for some beaches. If you're not an experienced boater, then I would suggest just getting an OB powered CC and not worrying about this. Here is a URL for the best site for Shamrock info -

We have a guy at the marina that has one. It doesn't look like he has anymore problems than anyone else getting it on and off the trailer.

If it was my boat I don't think I'd be beaching it.
