Shark Week

So here I am with Shark Week on Discovery in the background. I couldn't help but notice that shark photographers are idiots.
Here they are amongst hundreds of black seals swimming around trying to avoid sharks and the photographers are wearing black wet suits. Guess what they look like? Then it's major drama when one of them gets smacked.
Those people are supposed to be experts?

Th only thing I can think of during shark week is FISHING! I can't wait to get my boat down to Florida!

My wife, kids & I went out fishing yesterday in the intercoastal. We wound up catching 3 sharks total. I caught the first one, and he was about 2 feet long. I'm not sure exactly what kind he was. When I got him in the boat, I was holding it by the tail and the leader in its mouth. I told my kids to come touch him so they can see how different a shark's skin is. Both of them looked at me like I was crazy. They finally came over and touched it and were quite impressed on how it felt. A little while later I here my daughter yell for help in the bow of the boat as the rod was bending pretty good. I fought it for a few minutes and when I got it to the boat, it was about a 3ft hammerhead. They are such strange and pretty creatures. A little bit after that my son pulled in another hammerhead that was only about a foot long. All in all they got to see three different sharks up close for the very first time.
