how easy is it to replace a shear pin on a 15hp from about 1995?

and second, do you think this is the problem? here is why i think it is broken: when trying to remove the flywheel to work on something else, i stupidly wrapped a rope around the prop, put it in gear and twisted on the flywheel nut, something eventually gave way before the nut did and now the thing wont spin the shaft when in gear. being the weak link, i figure it must be it. and i actually was not able to get much leverage on it so i couldnt break a gear or anything right? thanks-ryan

I don't think motors have used shear pins in some time. Most have a rubber hub in the prop itself that will give way, but not to the degree you describe.
