R drive 6683545. I need 1/8inch more length on my lower cable but the brass barrel does not move.It looks just like the one in manual 6.Am I missing something or do I need to get a tool on there to free it up?Reverse does lock on the dogs before the throttle moves but it is just past the detent and the shift roller is centered when reverse engages the dogs.I could also move the pin up in the slot,am I correct in my thinking? Thanks -Blair

adjust the cable so that it is tp spec and hitting forward gear. Once you have it engaging forward gear, then shift it into reverse. If it does not engage then losen the nut on the shift lever and slide the cable up in the slot. Tighten the shift cable and shift back to forward then reverse and test if it is engaging in both.

this might help
