My shift cable broke free from the metal jacket that held it in place. The first pic is of the shift cable with the missing jacket, the second is of the throttle cable intact. I think these are morse cables? The engine is a Volvo Penta, but I think the cables are from an old OMC I/O. Any help?

Why do you think that???? Looks like a Volvo (Teleflex) control to me, and standard 33C Morse cables.

As far as the missing part, search the opeing where the control was mounted, find the cover and screws and put them back together.
Got any years to go with this stuff?

Re: Shift Cable Connection

The missing part is lost, hence I need to know where to find a replacement or how to fix what's left.

I was told that the cables were OMC, I could be wrong. Either way, I'm just interested in finding out what I need to do to get a replacement or somehow fix the connection. Thanks.

Go up to the top of the page and click on Volvo Penta parts. Then type in 3857721 to the box for add pn to cart. It's the small parts kit for that control.
