I just acquired a 1992 Chris Craft 258 Concept with a King Cobra stern drive and a 454 OMC .
It does not go into reverse or take the throttle in forward.
I looked inside the stern drive cover and there are two linkages from the shift cable.
The upper shift cable connection seems fixed the lower shift cable connection is not connected at all, is there a pin or something missing?
It appears that when the cable retracts it would shift into reverse, other than that I can move the shift plate an the drive goes into forward or reverse no problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
