HI i have a 1990 i/o 4.3 mercruiser. I just bough the boat and i installed a new (complete) outdrive Alpha one. I was adjusting the shift cable and i noticed about 1/8 inch of play in cable with outdrive in forward and cable disconected from mounting bracket.Also its a little tough to pull on cable to put in reverse. Please bear with me. My question is. Is that play normal or should I replace the shift cable. Thank For Your Help in Advance. That would stink cause I allready installed outdrive.
