shift cable

wanting to know if there any way to lubericate the shift linkage?

i have an 88 181 w/alpha1. when i am using the controlls it is kind of stiff for the first little bit. now when i get into the throttle part it is as free as it should be and smooth hence why i am asking sbout being able to lube teh shift cable. many thaks in advace

Ayuh,... Cables are Non-serviceable parts,...
When they get Tight, they get Replaced...

Pull a cable from the shift plate to determine whether it's the upper cable, or the lower cable that's goin' Bad...
I'd suspect it's the Lower cable to the drive...
