Shift problems alpha one

Hi
I replaced my shift cable on my alpha one gen 2, and it shifts fine into both gears, but it stays in gear a little while after I put it back in neutral.
Is that something to adjust as well?

You need to see if your shift interrupt swich is functioning properly.....​

I checked the cut-out switch, and it does work ok if I help moving the Y-plate a little bit, it looks like it is not enough movement in the Y-plate that should make it work properly.
any ideas?

Well, the only time that the switch actuates is to allow the gears to disengage, so something is not adjusted properly......
You made sure that there was 153mm from the center of the barrel nut to the 'eye', while pushing in on the shift cable & turning the prop counter clock wise & ensuring it locks into gear?.........
Do you have a roller or plunger type switch, you will need to determine how much movement is required to actuate (close) the switch......
You need manual # 14, I'll see if I can find the link......​
