shift slide set screw size

Working on an alpha one, what is the size of the set screw thread and depth of the screw?? I have misplaced my set screw and need it to finish slide installation. Thanks.

dunno offhand what size it is

WAG is #10 x 24??

you should do your best to find the OEM screw, it has a hole in it for the safety wire - which you need to install

if you absolutely can't find it, go to your local merc service shop, they will have one laying around somewhere

Don't have a local merc service shop unfortunately, but I can drill a small hole through the screw. Was hoping it would be metric or whatever. I might pull the cable back out and take the end in with me to find what fits and then cut it to size and drill the hole in it.

I picked one up at ace, drilled a hole in it, and it worked perfectly. Thanks to all who responded.
