I have 1968 153cid 120 hp 4cil eng. mercruiser<br />1968 Aristocraft<br /><br />Shifter.<br />the boat go fwr but when i try to shift to reverse i put it in neutral and then reverse and the boat still go fwr i have to kill & startup the eng to get of fwr. to shift back to fwr i have to do the same.<br /><br />Fuel<br />the boat was not running for a long time and this time a get to run and take to the lake and drive for 1 hr i shut the eng check around the eng everyting was fine then i drive for another hr when i shut the eng again the carb stay driping gas inside the carb.<br /><br />I use 20/50 oil do you think is ok

Your lower shift cable is Shot...<br />Replace,+ Adjust it....<br />

The Float Needle Valve is Sticking....<br />Rebuild, or Replace the Carb......

thanks bondo<br /><br />itake the cable out and was without the shield in one place and rusty. i goind to replace tomorrow<br /><br />the carb i take look after i fix the cable
