The tolerances are very tight. I would suggest you buy, do not build.
Merc dealers (shops and online) have them, and I believe GLM and Sierra also offer them.
You didn't say what you're working on (Alpha, Alpha Gen 2, Bravo, TRS, etc, etc) or exactly what shimming you need to do (and why), so I can't help pinpoint the tools you'll need.
