Shipping boat cover poles?

I'm trying to sell my poles off my old boat for a cover. The cover is not in great shape but the poles are good. These are fairly tall, curved poles that go from one side to the other.

Concerned that they won't ship well. Any hints or suggestions to shipping them that won't cost a bundle?

could you just tape them together in a bundle,and put a couple layers of bubble rap over the ends to protect from sharp ends?
