Since I live in Europe and in a very nothern part of it, too, I have difficulty to find OEM Merc parts at affordable prices. Or finding them at all. ***************** has all the little stuff I need, that are elsewhere impossible to find. My question: is it very much illegal to make an order with ***************** on Quicksilver parts and then use a myus.com or similar package redistribution service to ship the goods? Is there an issue with customs or smth? Sorry for asking something I could maybe google myself, but I can't seem to find any info in this despite trying. I just thought here might be someone who has the reply right away. If this works out an old Merc near the arctic circle would be very happy.
EDIT: wow, so there's a filter on url's.

Mod EDIT: Yes there is a filter. Iboats is an online retailer, protecting its interests by blocking competitors

The thing to do is talk to ******************, whoever they are, about how they ship to Europe.

Yup, seems like I'm just looking for trouble if I start shipping brand new OEM Quicksilver stuff to Europe in bulk boxes. The problem isn't with the marine parts store I was referring to: to my understanding, any US-based store selling Quicksilver parts is prohibited from shipping the goods outside US, based on some agreement with the Brunswick marine corporation. So I'm pretty much looking for the thin line here: when does stuff change from being OEM Quicksilver parts under some export license, into being just a bunch of spare parts, sent by someone in the US to a friend in Europe. I get that it's a sensitive issue. By googling, I can only find more messages like this, asked around different boards, but they lack decent answers. The problem is, that there isn't too much interest among manufacturers to set up decent distribution system to market this small. OEM Merc parts here are expensive and hard to find, other than the usual stuff. So one starts to think how to get the parts via US stores, since we live in the interconnected world where stuff SHOULD flow freely. Frustrating, this is.

Brunswick likely has a company licensed to sell/distribute the parts in Europe so that is why there is a US restriction. It happens with a lot of products. Not saying it doesn't happen. For example, there is a huge grey market for cameras and phones in the US from Asia pacific countries here.
