Hey everyone I recently bought a used boat lift. It has 3 tanks and 3 blower motors. My outlet on my dock currently has a 20amp breaker that powers the lift. when I run the 3 motors at the same time the breaker trips. I also have an outlet for my shore power that is 30amp. Does anyone know of an adapter that has a 30amp male shore on one end and a regular straight female plug on the other? I'm hoping the 30amp shore power outlet will power the lift without tripping. Thanks for the help.

Re: Shore Power adapters

Did you get sorted? you have 2 options, you can either go with a marine pigtail which can give you a watertight seal to your shorepower inlet or you can go with a 1 piece adapter to do the job, both are ok but the pigtail is prob better suited as it is used right beside water and they are made with larger size 30amp cable to cope with the 30amp load you will pull through the 15amp female connector.

Furrion, Marinco and Hubbell offer these products, i have switched from Marinco to Furrion, they are good, cheaper and they give water proof bags with their products. marine products are a rip off to start with so money saved there is more to spend in the yacht club bar! :-D
