My 1994 vintage Shorelander trailer uses an odd grease seal with an ID or 1.75 as opposed to the standard 1.719. I suspect this is due to the stainless replaceable wear sleeve on the spindle's seal surface. Could I use a standard seal in a pinch if I removed the wear sleeve? I sthe sleeve that important? I tend to check the bearings every year and run no more than 1000 miles/yr. I have to order the seals as no one stocks then near me.

shoreland'r has a fantastic web site.....they ship

the hubs, brakes and coupler are most likely UFP components. no you cant mix parts. the outer bearing race is also a different size. yes the sleeve is important.
