Ok, just got back from our friends cottage, man he cooks some nice steaks....
When we were putting his boat back up in the Shorestation, well after dark, we had to put the snap on covers on , in the dark. It was kind of a process , flashlight, headlamps, a few missed snaps, etc. No AC power at his pier...never gonna be.
I got to thinking that a nice gift for this year might be some interior lighting for the 20' Shorestation.
My thoughts:
LED ropelights, 12??V , solar charger, battery, plus a switch for when the boat comes in. Not automatic dusk / Dawn kinda thing. Not much use, maybe 2 days a week right now.
Anyone ever do this? What did you use for the battery? More importantly, what kind of lights?
I was kinda thinking of low key lighting, rope lights???? just enough to put the covers on, not a big 'ol spotlight, because that is the kind of guy he is, really pragmatic, and no fuss kind of person., low key himself when he is at the cottage.
Oh, and he is not mechanical at all, more cerebral than anything. So I want to make something low effort for him.....
What have you done that might work?
