I'm considering the purchase of a used '94 Johnson 15 hp. The model number is J15RET6. Can anyone tell me what the specs are? I'm hoping it is a short shaft as I want to mount it on an inflatable. Any advise would appreciated. This motor is a distance away and I would like to know before proceeding any further. Thanks.

The model number indicates a 1993 15" (short) shaft Johnson.

It is a 1993 Short Shaft, Manual start. A long shaft would be J15RLET* I sort of doubt the "6" is correct.

Re: short shaft or long shaft?

Thanks for the quick replies. Seems he is out a year, but I'm happy to hear it's a short shaft. Will see if I can make a deal on it. Much appreciated.
