If i can't fix my current engine problems I may be in the market for a replacemant. I'm considering a 150 hp Yamaha or Mercury EFI model. Anybody had any experience buying online? What about these late model used/reconditioned units from iboats.com for example (or any other source for that matter). How do they stand behind their warranties? Any other web sites I should consider? Or should I just buy local? I have to admit I wouldn't mind saving a few thousand dollars.

------------------

The web sites are too numerous to list, but I'll give you a few. http://www.wmi.org/bassfish/bassboard/boatramp/index.html?a=969671
http://www.floridasportsman.com/cgi-local/Ultimate.cgi

These are two I frequent daily. The prices here (iboats) are good tho, and never heard of a bum-steer.
Not to say you can't get "stung", but the stuff on the net is the same as locally.
Can't hurt to shop tho
