Should I buy new or used Lund 16' Alaskan?

I've been having my eye out on craigslist for months for a used 2005 or newer and nothing has come up for what I am looking for, should I continue waiting or bite the bullet and buy new? I plan on putting a 40-60hp honda/yamaha in the future on it. Will be my primary Puget Sound boat for salmon,etc.

Have you looked anyhwere but Craigs list, try a Google search of what you want or expand you search area.

I was looking for a particular type of motorcycle and wasn't finding anything so I expanded my search to 200 miles and found one, I had to drive 3 hours round trip to get it but it was worth it.

Also look into Ebay.

Have ya got the cheddar saved up for that bullet? Man those things are $$ new! (even used they bring a premium)

with boats, for me, I believe it is best to buy new .... I do not have the knowledge base to accurately assess a preowned boat/motor and I do like having a new boat warranty .... when I buy new, I know how the boat has been treated/maintained from day one .... yes, I know that there are folks out there that I can pay to evaluate a boat and if I ever buy another preowned boat I'd probably go that route .... the bottom line is, can you find a preowned boat you want and the impact of any boat purchase on your budget

You'll probably be waiting quite a while for a boat choice that specific to come up used.

I like buying new boats too, just a little money down and a little each month and you're, they're happy... everybody is happy!

You get to set a new boat up exactly the way you want it, with the exact accessories you want.

You don't have to worry about having to straightening out screwed up repairs or modifications a knuckleheaded previous owner made when you buy a new boat.
