Im thinking about buying this boat and swaping motors. that way i would have the family boat and my toy. the motor is short shaft like i need. I would just use the new boat and old motor as a fishing boat so i wouldn't have to short shaft it, would i?

it would also help with the repainting of the hydro, that green motor has hampered my color choice!! what matches that? white goes with everything!

who said it was a short shaft, i read nothing saying what it was. the transom and shaft have to match, if not you get pizz poor performance. if the motor check out i would by it.. i have one similar for sale now for $1,600. with a 50hp.

Iv'e seen it relisted atleast once, I could probably get it for around 400.00. There is a ton of them like that price around here. I'll have to go look at it and see if i can get a peek under the floor and see if its a rotted mess.

It is indeed a short shaft - I can tell by looking at the photo... The long shafts have either an extension piece or more meat under the lower motor mounts. That motor would be a good match for your little speedster...
