I have a 87 thundercraft that i am refurbishing. My plan was to carpet the entire bow seating area and then put in the bow seats.. I was wondering if anyone has seen this done before and if there are pics of it out there. I can't seem to figure out what i would use as trim for the edges of the carpet and if it would even look good.

Do you have a pic of your bow area? Is your boat a Thundercraft (Canada) or Thunder Craft (Tennessee)?

I think my carpet is really low pile marine carpet and it is cut to fit exactly with no trim, just straight edges butted and glued up to each other so tight, no trim is needed. I don't know how they do though!

i am painting the cap right now so the seats are gone everything in the boat is striped cap is separated from the hull i want to carpet the areas that are marked with lines. so the edges at the top are going to show not sure what to trim it with. After i carpet it i will install the new bow seats

In my boat the cushions are glued to the fibreglass and the carpet is only on the floor. The floor carpet is wrpped around and glued to a piece of 1/4 plywood that is cut to shape. I don't see the virtue of carpet under the seat cushions.
