Should I fully cover or not?

I have an older boat that I am trying to make the vynle last as long as possible. I store my boat in a covered storage unit and also always have the boat cover on as well. Here is Texas it gets very hot and pretty humid as well.

My question is should I have the boat cover completely tied down or should I leave a corner open to let airflow get in under the cover? My concern it the heat and lack of airflow with the boat cover completely tied down.

I fully cover mine. But my boat sits in a dirt floor barn that shelters mice and other varmits.

i'd full cover it too.
i've got one of the breathable covers and have had no ramifications for full cover. cold or hot and humid...

mine boat sits out in the weather all the time... so it's either covered or being used..
