I have a 2yr. old DF 70. I will be moving to an area where there are no authorized Suzuki dealers. There are Johnson dealers but they do not offer warranty service on Suzuki motors. Should I sell it before I move and purchase a motor that local dealers can service???

No, Bundy.

I wouldn't sell a great engine just because of difficulty with distance to warranty service.

Johnson dealers know how to service it and can help you deal with Suziki on any major repairs that might be needed.

My bet is that you wont need it. :)

Most likely with that engine you'll never need the use of that warranty. How much more would it cost to buy a new engine of equal quality (after selling the df70) plus the cost of rigging just in case there is a warranty issue? My guess is thousands of dollars. Seems to me that a person could do alot of repairs or travel some distance to a Suzuki dealer for that kind of money.

Your engine is broken in and runs like a swiss watch. My Df70 engine has been off warranty for a few years and runs as good as the day it was installed. Don't worry and stick with a good thing.
