Should I sell spare outdrive?

Hello I'm looking for advice from experienced people here.

I have a 1989 conquest with a 2.3L OMC and cobra outdrive. I happened upon a spare outdrive a couple of years ago and bought it. My question is, should I keep it or sell it? I mean, what is the likelyhood of a major failure of the outdrive if proper maintenance is performed? The boat is getting older and I'd hate to be stuck with needing a whole new outdrive, but I could also use the cash.

Murphy has a way of dealing with those type problems.
Get rid of the spare, and your present drive will take a dump.
Keep the spare, and your drive will last forever.
