Should I take these fin things off?

I know the straps on here suck no need to bring up that you should NOT use 1" straps.

anyway, these damn plastic fin things get in the way of my straping it down, do they really do anything anyway? Should I let them be, or remove them?:

i cant realy tell from your pic but it looks like there some sort of trim tab??
you could take them off and see if it effects your handling.

the only way to tell if you need them is if you take them off. Do one at a time so you can see what effect they had on your boating experience.

Yeah, looks like you have some fixed tabs on the hull and also a "tail" on the drive . . . I'd start by taking the drive ones off and see what happens. I'd also consider Smart Tabs or helm adjustable because I have a sneaking suspicion this thing is gonna porpoise up a storm when you take them off . . .
