If your engine is a 4 cylinder, yes, it should fit. 1972-1977 85HP 4 cylinder.

The # after the "A" is either blade shape or area.
The A40L may be a left rotation...make sure it IS a right-hand prop.
The merc parts express may have some numbers on their site, I'm not sure...

Well...Would a Picture enable you to tell me if it's a right-hand rotation?

Anywhere I look on the Merc site...the prop selector stops around the year 2000 :(

Thanks again, Chuck

According to my Merc book, the -33 is a pressed rubber hub and the -40 and -45 are flo-torqII props....same dia. and pitch....both BlackMax series.

I have Merc's Factory prop guide..
The press-in hubs are a prop-shop item...usually 40-60 bucks.
