Should water come out from these holes?

I have recently replaced this lower unit, and ran it for the first time this past weekend. I am wondering if I got the water tube fished into the right place, because water squirts out of the little holes in the lower unit (leg). Water does mist out of the exhaust though. Is this OK, or did I mess up??

I didn't realise how bad this motor looks until I went to post the pictures, I guess its time for paint! (Does anyone have the paintcodes for evinrude?)

Thanks!
-Jacob

The hole the arrow is pointing to, is where the upper water tube grommet snap's in. If you are leaking there, pull the grommet out, and replace it. It is the same rubber grommet that is used on the water pump.
