Just a thank you post!! It took a bit of time, but I finally got the timing straightened out. I was ignorant on how to really set it up from the beginning for the tdc. I was finally able to actually get it right. The boat did great tonight. It got up out of the hole with minimal effort and topped out at 53 mph and 5000rpm. I pulled the plugs after checking her out and they had an almost perfect tan powdery look to them (no more flooded with fuel). Yes I know there's a bit more in her to give, so I'm just going to fine tune it now that I have a better understanding of what the timing does. I wanted to give thanks to those that provided all their knowledge to help me out: Chris1956, Laddies, Scaaty, and Silvertip. Thanks guys, I really appreciate your patience with me and all your assistance!!! I had the mechanical hardware stuff worked out 6yrs ago and put it on the back burner because of the timing issue...and personal reasons. I rebuilt the engine from the crankshaft up but never really was able to get it finished. So thanks a million!!! I know a little more fine tuning and she'll be screaming 60mph across the lake, not that I need to be but it will be nice to know it'll run as good as it did off the showroom floor.

THANKS!!! :)
