Show me your electric trolling motor setups

Hi all -

Decided to get an electric trolling motor setup. For fishing and then as a backup to primary motor.

This is my barge - 29' and lots of canvas for the winds to push around! I'll need some thrust for that elec motor.










I've done some basic research. 12v systems & 55lbs thrust don't sound like enough.

What should I be looking at ? 24v, how much thrust, just (2) 12v batteries, and bow mount ? Show me some setups ! ! ! !

I do most of my trolling right here, so it's some version of Internet Explorer, I think.

BTW: Nice canvas! I love mine!

Here is mine - Minn Kota Power Drive V2 54" shaft with 55# thrust. Boat is a Bennington 24SLi - the motor does fine for what I use it for. My battery is mounted in the rear but with the size boat you have you may want to mount in the front.

What lake in OH do you boat at?
