Fellow Boaters,

Sad day yesterday(Sat.) as 1- 68yr. male died in a overturned 18' boatwww.kirotv.com/news/27811976/detail.html
They were not wearing LIFEJACKETS appearently. I do hope the kid pulls through.

Reasons:

1. Bad, Choppy, Whitecapped waves on the Sound(had friends fishing about 20miles south of that area and they told me it was rough conds.

2. Not wearing Lifejackets? Thats what their use is intending for- I mean having it on you when you go into the water gives you a better shot at living than not having one on.

3. Driver Error? Hard to say but as the capt. of my boat all passengers must wear a lifejackets for gd. reasons

Common sense isn't all that common.
